@elethrion
“i find people agree much more largely on what is “intelligent” as opposed to smart”
You’ve composed data and performed analysis?
“”smart” is bought knowledge while “intelligent” is self-conceived”
Only a slight improvement over “virtually meaningless personalized generalizations”
@TheGodlessGuitarist
“You’ve composed data and performed analysis?”
i was below that impression given the people i communicate with on a regular basis, im sorry you disagree
“Only a slight improvement over “virtually meaningless personalized generalizations”"
imo it is greatly, i gave you a my defintion of intelligent to the extent the comments allow it, that sentence was trying to sum up the difference
final note to this: fighting over the use of terminology is not worth the time or effort
@elethrion
“fighting over the use of terminology is not worth the time or effort ”
I agree, but you forced me to defend my point.
Well said!!!
@McArrowni Don’t forget to also add in those who gave up.
@minzeme i dunno… he can grow his own hair, so maybe we should listen to him.

Sociopaths and psychopaths are chock full of tenacity.
There are so many factors that go into success, that a simple tenacity vs. intellect cannot pinpoint. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Carlos Slim, and the list goes on of intellectuals who became extremely successful entrepreneurs. Taking risks are necessary, but only if they are calculated. So for anyone seeing this video, please, don’t reckon that optimism and tenacity will make up for lacking knowledge. After all, if I’m not mistaken, 50% of businesses fail within the first year.
@GodefdMarynmadeJesus
That is right but, knowledge is a very attainable business; but, optimism and tenacity is not. I judge that one must first shape their characteristics before their acumen. To be able to strive and achieve is a formidable task that many cannot do. With characteristics such as tenacity, intellect will certainly follow, but typically, ambition and tenacity will not. Because without knowing the science behind failure, you’re only destined to fail.
@AznN00B Optimism and tenacity can be very negative characteristics to have, depending on the situation/self. For example, let’s take the aspiring affair owner who is FOR SURE his/her affair is going to do well. They leverage out, with nothing more than optimism, tenacity, and some knowledge of their industry, only to end up broke with massive amounts of debt. Studies show this happens more often than not. Therefore, it’s better to start out with the know-how, and build on that.
smart is not in a screaming pink shirt.
In a pink shirt is saying I couldn’t give fuck about what people reckon of my pink shirt.
