Thе semesters almost over, I have a few weeks to bump up my grades, but I constantly find myself slacking off and leaving stuff to the last minute. Hοw do you preclude yourself from procrastinating?

Years ago I won the prize for procrastination, it was just pathetic. I pondered that a lot later on and today I rarely ever dally. So what made me like that?
One business was not being ready. Amongst many other things I like to do crafts and I’d often have huge diplomacy for a project I plot to undertake, yet I never do. I learned eventually that it was because I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have the confidence to take it on so I always found an excuse to avoid it.
Later I learned a excellent example. Anytime we do something new we screw it up the first time, we do better the second time and by the third time it’s a piece of cake. As this proceeds we learn how to do it and we gain confidence. When I figured that out I found I started to take on projects more often. What I also learned was that if I’m not ready, the way to start is to learn something about what I want to do.
Another business that stops me from moving is a huge job. One time my workshop was such a mess I couldn’t even walk into it any more without tripping on something. It got so terrible I didn’t dare dally and yet I just couldn’t seem to get started. What was the problem? Well for one business I didn’t know where to start, everything was such a mess, and secondly it all seemed so overwhelming.
The example I learned from this was that as long as I look at the over whelming nature of the task I’m never going to start. What I do now is ignore the size of the task. Instead I just pick a single corner and see what I could do about throwing a few things out and organizing the rest. Then I let it go for a while and I’ll pick another corner and do a small. After a while things start to look better and suddenly it doesn’t look as terrible any more. When that happens I get excited and I go full blast to make it all go away.
A third issue is probably what you’re suffering from. When I have something I HATE to do, I can again find all kinds of creative reasons for not doing it. For me it’s not reading a book, I like to read, but one of my weaknesses is paying my bills and keeping my accounts up to date on my computer. I just despise spending time doing that. Well, I quickly learned that late payment penalties pile up and can get rather expensive. I also learned that things I despise doing never go away.
The example I learned was to look at the benefits not the issues. If I grit my teeth and get the bills paid today, I save a bundle in late payment penalties, I don’t have to feel guilty, and I can get on with more pleased things that much quicker. I learned that this applies to all the things I despise doing. So now I try to see how quickly I can get them done because once they’re done I’m on the road to more pleased, more fulfilling days. And surprisingly, one other benefit that came from this was that I felt excellent for having achieved the goal.
Another wits I procrastinated in the past was that I was simply too tired to take the business on. I have had periods at work where I really get burned out. I sometimes have periods like that at home too. Either way, I find that I just can’t seem to muster the energy to do anything.
Well, I learned how to deal with that too. Ordinarily when I’m really beat my body is telling me it’s time for a rest. So I’ve learned to take a day off. I do nothing for the day, I’m just bone idle, perhaps read a book, watch a movie, have a really long nap or something like that. On rare occasions I need two days like that. Once it’s over I feel stronger and more energetic and that’s when I find my ambitions returning. Just make sure that when you take a day off that you don’t do any chores during that day. Doing even a few chores isn’t resting and taking a day off, you end up staying tired. If you’re going to be bone idle, be real bone idle, do a excellent job of it.
A final business I’ve learned is to look at a task not as a pain in the butt, but rather as a challenge. Challenges are fun things that we can overcome with appropriate effort. By looking at everything as a challenge (today I’m going to do the bills in less than two hours before lunch) it becomes more fun to take it on and chances are you’ll get it done really quick.
Keep in mind, if you want to walk around the world and that’s all you are thinking about, you’ll never start. On the other hand if you just take a step today, and another tomorrow, soon you’ll have gone a excellent distance which you should celebrate. And after the celebration, take a few more steps and before you know it you’ll have gone around the world. Focus on, and celebrate, small achievements and let the huge goals just take care of themselves. It’s a fantastic cure for procrastination too.

Making a list of things to do is the simplest way.
Also, set a time limit on each of those so you don’t spend too much time on one business, and you focus on getting it done.
Remember to take 10 min breaks for each hour of hardcore studying/working. Your brain can’t really take much in after an hour.
There are lots of websites with study habits, etc that you can look at also.
