How do I not to start procrastinating again?

Posted By: Lo

I’ve been working out lately, doing school work, and keeping my room сƖеаn. Bυt my problem is I’m never consistent with these things. I ordinarily go right back to being bοnе іԁƖе and doing nothing. I feel it coming on again. I can be really motivated to something one second, and the next completely lose interest. Hοw do I preclude myself from procrastinating again?

Laziness/procrastination is just a habit, habits can be changed. Establishing a habit to replace a habit that is the result of many years of practice is very hard. If you start slow and gradually increase you will have a better chance of establishing a habit. Of course, it will take 3 weeks or more to establish the habit. During those 3 weeks you have to commit yourself to doing something you don’t really want to do.

We form habits and then our habits form us.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

It is simple to be overwhelmed by a project, which makes it necessary to identify the elements of the project/goal and work on them in a logical progression, putting it together like a puzzle. For example, a classroom project has elements (collect equipment, read the material, write, etc.). Force yourself to take the first small step, ordinarily this leads to further effort.

    Well begun is half done.
    Ben Franklin
